Request for Proposals - Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) Hub

Online

The Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) Hub is a new partnership among the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and World Resources Institute (WRI), in consultation with and supported by the German Government (BMU-IKI).  Envisioned to be fully functional by the beginning of 2023, preparations for the FLR Hub are now under way. The Hub will be demand-responsive to countries, local stakeholders, and partners seeking to overcome FLR bottlenecks and build on success factors to accelerate and scale FLR implementation. It aims to generate climate and biodiversity benefits and achieve human well-being.

There are six countries of implementation: Brazil, Colombia, Madagascar, Peru, Tanzania, and Uganda.

As part of the preparation phase of the project, the FLR Hub is opening Requests for Proposals for six studies. Please find the Terms of Reference for each study below and apply by December 20, 2021:

  1. The governance structure of the Global Forest Landscape Restoration Implementation Hub
  2. Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) investment readiness
  3. Assess data and system needs and availability for MRV of FLR activities
  4. Gap analysis on knowledge and capacity for FLR
  5. Market, commodities, and existing businesses to support FLR implementation
  6. Potential financial mechanism and funding sources to support FLR implementation
