Kaeté Investimentos is a private equity firm founded in 2011. It specializes in minority growth equity investments in middle market companies that target low-income consumers, have a relevant social and economic impact on low-income families and cooperatives located in underprivileged communities with scarce opportunities for jobs or entrepreneurial activities, and/or promote a better and more sustainable use of natural resources.
Kaeté Investimentos' team has a combined experience of more than 50 years in the financial and business markets. The team is experienced in managing funds, including private equity and venture capital funds, and has closed 17 transactions totalling US$ 380 million (more than R$ 1.1 billion including co-investments and debt) in the last 15 years.
All members participate in the management of the company, with effective participation in the value creation process in the portfolio companies acting as members of specific committees (finance, M&A, operations) and as Board members. Activities performed in the last 20 years include business plan development, structuring and negotiating of short- and long-term financing with local and international financial institutions, analysis and negotiation of acquisitions, among others.
Kaeté's investments are focused on the North, Mid West and Northeast regions of Brazil. The regions in which Kateté invests at are typically in the bottom 30% in the country's human development index rankings.
