The Corporación Ambiental Empresarial CAEM, a subsidiary of Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB), is a nonprofit organization with 37 years of experience, its purpose is: "To help build a better environment and promote business environmental management in the territory, making the dream of making it sustainable a reality" CAEM has been implementing, with the help of national and international partners, various projects aimed at optimizing energy efficiency in production processes with a view to mitigating climate change. It has been the operator of environmental windows that promote sustainable production and responsible consumption and has developed important restoration and conservation projects in the hands of the private sector.
For more than three and a half decades, CAEM has been carrying out actions aimed at climate restoration with the planting and maintenance of native trees, through the Green Leaves program, a vehicle for mobilizing civil society and the business world with which citizens contribute individually and institutionally through economic resources to restoration, offsetting their carbon footprint, a process that CAEM has been calculating in a combined strategy together with technology-based solutions that seek to reduce GHG emissions through greater energy efficiency. or by transitioning from environmentally sustainable energy sources.
Through the Green Leaves program, it has been possible to advance processes of rehabilitation, restoration, and conservation of urban and peri-urban forests in the Colombian Andean region with institutional and business alliances that allow today to have more than 20 biological corridors in Bogotá and its region with 465 hectares sources restored, 541,000 native trees planted, more than 69,000 tons of CO2 captured / year, associated with research and ecotourism programs with more than 330 linked entrepreneurs and more than 350,000 visitors who have managed to constitute, according to the commitments acquired with the Paris agreement, examples of nature-based solutions that contribute to Colombia's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC).

- Advanced and sustainable forestry production projects for the supply of the national hard and softwood industry for the development of the national forestry industry that links national and foreign investors.
- Rehabilitation, restoration, and conservation processes of peri-urban forests
- Formulation and implementation of restoration and conservation projects through public-private partnerships
- Implementation of programs to encourage the conservation of natural ecosystems in strategic areas for water supply - Payment for Environmental Services
- Implementation of compensation projects aimed at the business sector
