Land Accelerator xEcuador Impact Days

Presenting entrepreneurs that conserve and restore Ecuador's land

Home to three of the world’s ten biodiversity “hotspots”, Ecuador is one of the most species-rich countries on Earth. But its ecological treasures are under threat from deforestation and overexploitation. Revitalizing these degraded lands by growing trees and improving farming practices can safeguard biodiversity and produce enormous environmental, social, and economic benefits.

To capitalize on this potential, entrepreneurs in Ecuador are developing innovative ways to build sustainable, prosperous futures for their communities. Now, they need financing to take their restoration businesses to the next level.

That is why World Resources Institute (WRI), in collaboration with Condesan, Helvetas and Catapulta, started the Land Accelerator xEcuador, a training and mentorship program that brings together entrepreneurs who conserve and rejuvenate forests and landscapes through agroforestry, reforestation, grassland restoration, and other profitable techniques. The program, which contributes to Initiative 20x20 and the Andean Forests Program, equips entrepreneurs with the tools they need to attract investment, create more jobs, and restore more land.

Join us on August 30 and 31 for an inspiring and interactive two-day event to meet this group of 23 entrepreneurs and understand what they need to grow their impact.

The event will be held in Spanish with simultaneous translation into English. Join the conversation on social media with #Initiative20x20 and #GenerationRestoration.
