Conservation Strategy Fund (CSF)’s mission is to sustain natural ecosystems and human communities through strategies powered by conservation economics. Our trainings, analysis, and timely expertise make development smarter, quantify the benefits of nature, and create enduring incentives for conservation worldwide. CSF has been working in Latin America for nearly twenty years, with extensive experience in Brazil, Bolivia, Peru and Colombia. CSF offers a wide range of relevant expertise, experience and opportunities that Initiative 20x20 partners could make use of, including in:

Improving restoration interventions by identifying the opportunity costs and gains;

Determining the cost-effectiveness of different ecological restoration models for specific ecosystems;

Designing and developing innovative financial mechanisms applicable to restoration initiatives;

Evaluation the impact of restoration projects;

Designing strategies to improve economic opportunities generated by restoration activities;

Organizing economic training sessions for governments, NGOs and communities to build awareness of the economic benefits of restoration;

Planning sustainable land use and restoration strategies and evaluating potential tradeoffs;

Highlighting how the private sector can economically benefit from restoration efforts; and

Designing economic incentive programs.
CSF is open to collaborate with other NGOs and partners to design, develop and implement innovative economic tools and analyses to achieve Initiative 20x20’s goals.
